OWEGO- Tioga County Council on the Arts has named Abbey Hendrickson as its new executive director.
Hendrickson earned a bachelor of fine arts degree from SUNY College at Brockport and a master of fine arts degree from the University at Buffalo. Most recently, she was an instructor in the art department at Mansfield University.
Prior experience includes being the public arts program educator at the Eric Carle Museum in Amherst, Mass., and the programs director at Western New York Book Arts Collaborative in Buffalo. She has also been the editor of her own blog for the past five years, coordinating blog posts for major brands, including Parents Magazine, Old Navy, and B. Toys.
Hendrickson succeeds Annette Schweiger.
